[LbNA] NEVER LETTERBOX UNPREPARED!

From: Kurt Copeland (tabulator32@mac.com) | Date: 2005-08-18 22:33:55 UTC-05:00
I was going to say something similar...

a map and a compass with a bit of training or even an inexpensive GPSr
(at the risk of sounding like a geocacher, which I am) would have gone
a long way towards making that scary adventure into a pleasant outing.

Being properly prepared should be part of any outdoor sport or
excursion. Saying one should "bring a friend" not only implies that
someone else should be responsible for you, but also that twice as many
people may end up lost.

Just my two cents.

Be prepared and be proficient.
